The Cupps - I Found the Rock

Producer: Kevin McManus
Label: Independent
Website: http://www.thecupps.org/

When Rev. Troy Cupp fell off the pantry roof at his church back in August, many wondered what would happen to the Cupps. Brother Troy suffered injuries to his neck, arm, ankles and back. He then developed pneumonia and multiple blood clots. However, God saw fit to heal him and to bless them with a new baby girl. The Cupps returned to the stage finally March 12 to share songs from their latest release, I Found the Rock.

The project opens with the country flavored I’ll Stand for Jesus. Right Now is a great uptempo song encouraging listeners to know that you can have a miracle right now. Trusting in the Lord is a beautiful ballad that has a Forester Sisters feel with an inspiring message. I Found the Rock is the title track and reminds us all of the amazing grace that we receive through Jesus. Troy Cupp wrote In God We Trust. Not every group is able write their own songs so its refreshing to see it when they can. This Prison Has A Purpose, written by Karen Dyess, is a great uptempo song. This prison has a purpose you may not understand but keep calling on his name and keep holding to his hand.

If you have ever heard the Cupps in person, you know that they desire to share the love of Jesus to a hurting world. If you haven't, I encourage you to check them out.

Song List:

I'll Stand for Jesus
The Saviour Man Forgot
Right Now
Trusting in the Lord
I Found the Rock
In God We Trust
